DoD Applications Engineer
Goodrich Corporation, ISR Systems Princeton (Sensors Unlimited Inc) is
currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of
Applications Engineer for DoD related activities. This is a unique
opportunity to work with truly revolutionary camera technology? Work
with the country's best and brightest and help transistion a new
technology to the DOD!
Scope
This position bridges the gap between Research and Design, Business
Development, and Sales and Marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interface primarily with DoD customers, on camera technical and
applications specific topics.
- Work closely with customers to help them derive maximum potential out
of the current COTS products and prototypes.
- Successfully executing field tests, head-to-head competitions with
other technologies, and product demonstrations.
- Planning, arranging transportation, setting up, debugging and
performing demonstrations of camera equipment (weighing up to 50 lb) at
customer's facilities and/or remote outdoor test sites, often at night.
- Contribute heavily to proposal, manual, and technical paper writing
directed at the DoD marketplace.
- Attending and presenting product briefings at conferences, industry
days and program reviews.
- Serve as the voice of the customer during the planning phase of new
products and programs.
- Travel: 25 - 35%
Education
- BS in Physics, Electrical Engineering
Required Experience
- 3 - 5 years experience in Optoelectronics or Electronics industry.
- Must hold current DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
Desired Skills
- Hands on familiarity with infrared technology, focal plane array and
imaging systems functionality, characterization and operation
- Experience with DoD procurement and acquisition process
Soft Skills
- Excellent communications and problem solving skills. Highly motivated
and organized. Adept at using Microsoft Office tools.
